Notes
• Bill Walker is still searching for consistency, which seems to be ever-elusive for the freshman. Walker scored seven points, playing just 18 minutes in last Saturday's win over Winston-Salem State. He picked up his third and fourth fouls in a 20-second span with more than 16 minutes to go in the second half. He was pulled from the game and did not return. He spent the first several minutes on the bench in a heated discussion with assistant coach Brad Underwood. "Bill's just like Michael Beasley, he wants to win," coach Frank Martin said. "Bill's a little different than Mike because Bill wears his emotions on his sleeve where Mike kind of hides his emotions. But they've both have that fire inside to win."
• Michael Beasley is assaulting the K-State record books. His 40 points against Winston-Salem State gives him five games with 30 or more points. Only Bob Boozer (seven), Norris Coleman (seven) and Mitch Richmond (six) have had more in a season. Boozer is the career leader with 10, which is well within Michael Beasley's reach with 19 regular season games to go.
• Michael Beasley leads the nation with 14.0 rebounds a game; Wagner's Durell Vinson, who is fifth with 11.5 a game.
• Wagner guard Joey Mundweiler played at Olathe East. Mundweiler, a junior, is the Seahawks' third-leading scorer.
• The biggest crowd Wagner has played in front of this season is 2,567 at Lafayette (La.). Bramlage Coliseum holds 12,528.
• RPIs as of Friday: Wagner 180, K-State 115.
